Shipping is based on weight and we use a variety of shipping partners to ensure that you receive the best value. All shipping costs are calculated at check out.
We are currently only offering domestic shipping for all of our products. However if you are overseas and want to make a purchase, please contact us and we can try to work out an arrangement.
Since we are a Wellington based business, we can offer a free delivery service within the Greater Wellington Region - unfortunately this excludes Kapiti Coast. We aim to deliver orders on Wednesdays, but this can be subject to change at any time. If you would prefer your item to be delivered, please choose the appropriate delivery option. Please keep in mind the timeframe of making your items, when also placing your order.
We envision a world without single use plastic, so use recycled packaging, boxes and cartons for all orders. We also reuse bubble wrap for fragile orders along with a variety of other cushioning methods.
Change of mind purchases include purchases you have made in error - for example, accidentally ordered or unwanted gifts. If you find yourself in this situation we can offer the following solutions:
Exchanges - We can exchange it for an alternative (i.e. a different style or colour etc) or another product of the same value.
Store credit - We can issue you with a store credit note for the value of the item being returned (excluding shipping costs). Credit notes cannot be exchanged for cash and must be used within 12 months of the date of issue.
We will happily exchange or issue store credits for change of mind purchases as long as they meet the following criteria:

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Please be aware that manufacturing defects do not include normal fair wear and tear and any damaged caused by accidental or non-accidental damage.
All products are purchased by the buyer on the basis of the price and description shown on this site. It is therefore important that at the time of purchase you are happy with the product(s) chosen. Please read the descriptions and titles carefully.
Due to all of our items being hand-made, all purchases are made to order. The timeframe for making the items is listed in the descriptions, and if there is a delay we will contact you and let you know.
All items are packaged as carefully and as well as possible. However please check the item(s) upon receipt by the courier and advise immediately (by email) if there is a problem.
You can either buy online using your credit card or feel free to email if you want an alternative method. We also accept internet banking payments if you don’t have a credit card but you will need to contact us for that option.
All prices are shown in NZD, include GST and are per item. E.g. some photos may show multiple items, but the price is only for 1 item, unless otherwise specified.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to enter the correct shipping details in the the shipping section at check out. Dancing Ponies does not take responsibility for misdelivery of parcels based on incorrect entry of delivery address on website forms. Check all forms for correct details before continuing to payment. If you have made an error, please contact us immediately.
Orders can be cancelled at any stage of the checkout process before the payment is made. Completed and paid orders can be refunded or exchanged in accordance with our Exchange or Refund policy.
All of our items are hand made and therefore will vary slightly. We will aim to provide you with items as close as possible to your request. If appropriate please specify colour and design choices when ordering.
Our postage costs are passed on and are referenced in the "Shipping Rates & Delivery" section. Check your applicable cost and delivery time estimates. Read this section clearly.
