Our tie backs are unique handmade pieces that can tie back your curtains, tie to a cot, backpack, or almost anywhere. The raccoon is just one in our family of tie backs. Our standard colour is grey, black and white, however if you need another colour we can do that too! Leave us a note with your order or send us your request!

Left-facing means the raccoon is looking over his left shoulder and right is over the right shoulder. These critters can also e purchased in pair which is one of each.

Tie Backs are made with safety eyes so not recommended for under 3yrs. We are happy to embroider the eyes to make them safe for all ages – please request if required. 

100% handmade crocheted raccoon uses 100% cotton yarn and New Zealand made.

Shipping Policy

All national orders are tracked via courier using Pass The Parcel.

Shipping Rates

At TillyBird we have made it easy for you by using flat rate shipping within New Zealand. If you have a rural shipping address, please be sure to select the RURAL option when choosing your shipping. Failure to do so could result in delays when posting your order.

Our delivery charges are:

  • Standard Shipping - $8.60
  • Standard Shipping (Rural Delivery) - $11.00

If your order total (before shipping) comes to more than $150.00 we are currently offering free shipping on your order.

Delivery Times

Parcels are delivered weekdays by Pass the Parcel. Please allow 2-5 business days for your parcel to arrive from when it is collected.

Reasons for Order Delays

There are a few reasons why your order may be delayed in getting to you, including public holidays, delayed shipments due to Covid-19, or an incorrect address entered against the order.

We allow pre-ordering of most of our products on our website. When you order an item that is marked as back-ordered, this generally means the item is not currently in stock and will need to be handmade by one of the TillyBird team. When your order is placed, if you have ordered an item that is marked as pre-order, we will advise you of the expected timeframe for your items to be created. The entire order will be sent at one time. If you wish to have your items sent in multiple parcels (ie: in stock items in one parcel and pre-order items in another), we suggest you submit 2 separate ordered to allow for in stock items to be posted immediately.

Order Tracking

All orders are currently dispatched using Pass the Parcel couriers. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email from us containing your tracking code. If you do not receive this email and would like to obtain your tracking code, please email us on tilly@tillybird.com and be sure to include your order number with your request.

Once you have your tracking details, you can visit the Pass the Parcel website and enter your tracking number to track your parcel. Please allow up to 24 hours for your parcel to register the tracking number against your order.

International Delivery

We are unable to ship internationally at this time, however orders can be placed from overseas for delivery to a New Zealand address.

Refund Policy

We have a refund policy for 21 days. If 21 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Some of our items are unable to be returned such as gift cards or downloadable software products.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. This can be a photograph of the product with its original label and packaging intact.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable). Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or any item that is returned more than 21 days after delivery would be subject to only a partial refund, and this will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Your refund, if approved, will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. We will process the refund within 3 business days, however the length of time it takes for the refund to show in your account may take longer.

Sale items: 

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded. Items are usually on sale as end of line stock or because there may be a defect within the product. Any defects will be fore mentioned in the product description so please read the product information carefully before making your purchase.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy


We will only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at tilly@tillybird.com and include your order number so we can send you a shipping address and further information.
