Decorative and symbolic this carved rimu Huia feather represents both beauty and sorrow for what is lost. The Huia bird of New Zealand was once a sacred creature revered by Maori but was pushed to extinction by human activity. This piece measures 37 x 8 x 1 cm.

This piece has been individually hand crafted from salvaged rimu timber diverted from landfill. It is light weight and easy to hang and post. This piece is fitted with a D-ring for easy hanging, ring may be fitted at either end of feather. Painted with durable acrylic Resene paints, suitable for indoors only.
