Because of the nature of hand-stamping, it is impossible to guarantee that letters will be perfectly aligned. Some tool markings are evident on the front sides as well as the back sides, as evident in the photos.No two pieces are exactly alike due to pattern, placement of letters, alignment, depth of impression and uniformity of letters.Silver plate also will vary in thickness, tint and patina from piece to piece. There may be some signs of wear from its previous life, but that’s the beauty of the creation. I do my best to choose the best pieces to use. But please do not expect a brand new, never been used spoon~ I do recommend hand washing, as silver plate can tarnish faster over time if put in the dishwasher a lot.
