3 little perfect frosted drops of seaglass, shades of brown/amber and almost yellow, hanging from a hand plaited adjustable cord, which you can wear at any length to suit your clothing neckline.
Seaglass pieces in amber or brown shades are one of the most common colours to find around the world. These pieces originate from old beer & whiskey bottles, cleaning products such as Clorox & Lysol & old medicine bottles. Brown is still a common colour for beer bottles, so we find a lot of new or “uncooked” pieces on our beaches today.
The seaglass & pottery I use in most of my jewellery was collected by me from a small North Island west coast beach, which was once used as the town dump. The glass would have originated from household glass waste such as tableware, beer bottles, cleaning products or medicine bottles, and has been tumbling in the ocean for anywhere up to 100 years to gain its smooth rounded shape and frosty patina.
